Privacy Policy

Effective July 2, 2026  ·  Last updated July 2, 2026

ICE Basketball ("ICE," "we," "us") runs a youth basketball training program and provides the ICE Player App so players and their parents can track training, log stats, earn certifications, and communicate with our coaches. This policy explains what the App collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices your family has. It is written to be read by parents.

Built for youth athletes. The App is used by basketball players in grade 6 and up, which includes children under 13. We collect a child's information only with a parent or guardian's consent and only what we need to run the training program. Parents can review or delete their child's information at any time — see Children's Privacy and Your Choices.

01Information We Collect

We collect only what the App needs to deliver the training program. We do not collect information for advertising, and we do not use third-party ad networks or advertising trackers in the App.

CategoryExamples
AccountEmail address and a password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form by our authentication provider).
Player profilePlayer's name, grade, school, position, club team, shirt size, and an optional profile photo.
Parent / guardianParent's first name, phone number, and (optionally) email — so coaches can text parents about sessions and progress.
Training dataGame stats, shooting workouts, certifications, points/levels (XP), challenges, session bookings and attendance, mindset self-assessments, and a training "health" score the App calculates from this activity.
Recruiting (optional)If a player uses the recruiting feature: graduation year, GPA, and measurables such as height, weight, wingspan, and vertical.
CommunicationsMessages between a player and ICE coaches, and posts, comments, and reactions in the in-app community feed.
Photos & videoImages and video clips a user chooses to upload — profile photos, feed photos, and clips attached to messages or submitted for film review.
TechnicalA push-notification token (if enabled) and basic error/diagnostic logs needed to keep the App working.

02How We Use Information

  • Provide the training program: track progress, certifications, workouts, and schedule.
  • Communicate with players and parents, including session reminders and progress updates by in-app message and text (SMS) to the parent's phone.
  • Enable the community feed, leaderboards, and coach feedback.
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the App.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

03How We Share Information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, and only as needed for them to perform that service:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseDatabase, account authentication, and file storage (photos and app data).
Cloudflare StreamHosting and playback of uploaded video clips.
GoHighLevelSending session reminder and update text messages (SMS) to the parent's phone number.
Apple / Google / browser pushDelivering push notifications to your device, if you enable them.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of players, our staff, or the public. We do not share information with data brokers or advertisers.

04Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The App is intended for youth athletes and is used by children under 13 with parental involvement. In line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

  • We collect a child's personal information only with a parent or guardian's consent, obtained when the account is created and through the parent contact information kept on file.
  • We collect only the information reasonably needed to run the training program, as described above.
  • We do not condition a child's participation on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary.
  • A parent or guardian may, at any time, review the information we hold about their child, ask us to correct or delete it, and refuse to allow further collection or use. To do so, contact us at the email below, or use the in-app Delete my account feature.

05Your Choices & Rights

  • Review and update: players and parents can view and edit profile information in the App at any time.
  • Delete your account: the App includes a Delete my account option (in Edit Profile). This permanently removes the login and personal data — workouts, stats, certifications, messages, feed posts, uploaded media, and profile. Limited billing and payment records may be retained where required for accounting or legal reasons; these are no longer tied to a login.
  • Notifications: push notifications and text messages can be turned off in the App settings or by replying STOP to a text.
  • Contact us with any request or question using the email below.

06Data Retention

We keep personal information while the account is active. When an account is deleted, we remove the associated personal data, except limited financial/transaction records we are required to retain for accounting or legal purposes.

07Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Passwords are stored only in hashed form. Access to player data is restricted by per-user database security rules so that players see only their own data and coaches see only what they need to run the program.

08Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes affecting children's data, seek parental consent again where required.
